Being a bridge between the leadership team and the finance team, the chief financial controller will not only help MrQ set the foundations to scale but will also have the acumen to guide the business into growing them. From setting systems and processes in place right up to moulding the financial strategy and vision that will bring the company to its deserving successes.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage financial strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure effective financial management and compliance. 
• Conduct financial analysis and provide insights on key performance indicators, variances, and trends to support decision-making. 
• Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and financial forecasts. 
• Monitor financial performance, identify risks and opportunities, and recommend actions to optimize financial results. 
• Manage cash flow, treasury, and working capital, ensuring proper liquidity and efficient use of funds. 
• Lead the preparation of annual budgets and periodic financial forecasts, working closely with department managers and executives. 
• Monitor and analyze financial metrics and operational performance against budget and provide recommendations for improvement. 
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and legal requirements, collaborating with external auditors and advisors as needed. 
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with banks, financial institutions, and other relevant stakeholders. 
• Provide financial guidance and support to senior management, assisting in strategic decision-making and investment evaluations. 
• Manage and develop a high-performing finance team, including setting performance objectives, providing coaching and feedback, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.

Requirements:

• Progressive years of experience in senior/executive finance management roles with small-to-mid size entrepreneurial organizations.
• Fully qualified Accountant (ACA, CPA or equivalent)
• Previous experience in tech/online gaming businesses
• Experienced in building the financial, accounting, and administrative infrastructure that allows a company to grow exponential.
• Advanced understanding of accounting and tax matters internationally.
• Will deploy future systems, processes and reporting (for a variety of audiences – BAU, management and shareholders) – in a thoughtful, simplified and integrated fashion.
• Works well with other team members to improve efficiencies and anticipates financial issues before they occur.
• Represent company to banks, financial partners, institutions, investors, auditors and the like.
